Most Outstanding Unit in the Nation 2019-2020
About NJROTC

The NJROTC accredited curriculum is designed to build strong leaders and responsible citizens. Our mission is to instill the values of citizenship, service to country, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment. While we do not recruit for the military, the program offers valuable skills and benefits that can support students in any future path—including military service, if they choose.

Our cadets take pride in giving back to the community. With countless opportunities to serve, they not only earn the service hours required for graduation but also make a meaningful impact. Last year alone, our unit completed over 7,400 hours of community service.

We are committed to becoming one of the top NJROTC units in the nation. Beyond the classroom, we encourage cadets to challenge themselves and build teamwork by joining our after-school teams in Drill, Academics, Marksmanship, and Orienteering.
Why NJROTC
"Top Ranked Program In The Nation"
NJROTC was created by Congress in 1964 with a simple but powerful mission: to help high school students become strong leaders, responsible citizens, and confident young adults. The program is taught by retired Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard officers and enlisted personnel who bring years of real-world leadership experience into the classroom.
The curriculum combines citizenship, leadership, and character development with lessons in naval science, navigation, seamanship, and the importance of America’s maritime heritage. But learning doesn’t stop at the classroom door.
Cadets grow through real opportunities to serve and lead—whether it’s community service projects, academic and drill competitions, marksmanship training, physical fitness challenges, or trips to military bases and field events. Every experience builds teamwork, discipline, and confidence that will serve them for life.
